Since it was founded in 1905, the company has focused on research and the scientifically verifiable benefits of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, in order to find solutions to hair and skin problems. Throughout the 100 year history of the family company, 2017 has been the most successful year to date. With the newly developed markets in Europe and Asia, sales increased to a new record result of 297.5 million Euros. Dr. Wolff is currently active in 57 countries.
On an international level, Dr. Wolff focuses on cycling as the spearhead of sponsoring activities. In the 2017/2018 season, Alpecin remains the title sponsor of the Katusha-Alpecin team centred around the world champion Tony Martin and the sprinting star Marcel Kittel.
